This website is maintained by Ms. Shikha Aggarwal a student of Biodiversity and Conservation at University School of Environment Management, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, India.

My main objective of preparing this website is to make aware about the different tribes residing in India and their role in the conservation of biodiversity. I want to make common man aware about the conservation of traditional knowledge and its benefit sharing. As ignoring the conservation of cultural diversity and the associated traditional ecological knowledge is detrimental for the cause of conservation of biodiversity on which the entire world depends for its survival.
